As Litramine™ is a patented fibre complex from an organic plant source, it has no known harmful side effects. In fact, it binds fats without any pharmacological, immunological or metabolic action or effects on the human body. As a result of this non-systemic mechanism of action products made with Litramine™ are certified as a Class IIb medical device* for long-term use under the Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC.

All in vivo studies conducted also confirm the safety profile of Litramine™. No adverse reactions were observed.
